Birthday Dinner

Gabe requested a family birthday dinner with all his grandmas and grandpas.  Grandpa Jim and Grandma Ruth came from Milton-Freewater for the day as a special treat.  So special to have all the grandpas and grandmas in one place.  Gabe had Quiche Lorraine with smoked bacon cooked on the Traeger and a beautiful salad that we consumed before I got the camera out.  He requested Grasshopper Pie, so I made an easy variation of Einkorn chocolate cookie crust filled with Breyers Mint Chip ice cream.  Lydia and I stirred the softened ice cream with some natural food colors derived from spirulina and turmeric.  Topped it with Black Hawk Fudge full of Ginger's thick Guernsey/Dexter cream, Kerry Gold butter, and raw cacao.  All were satisfied.  Delectable!
