House Ornaments

Hydrangea and Astilbe on the north wall in bloom.

A Chickadee nest. Gabe enjoyed watching the chirping babes open wide their beaks for Ma and Pa's vittles.

Honolulu Package

A package from Dad made for the occasion of dressing up for a photo shoot. It was the first hot day of Summer, fitting with the Hawaiian attire. Good timing Dad!

Waiting for a Ferry

Traveling between homes.... Who would of thought wading, digging in the sand, and sun-pinked skin would be a part of the commute today?

Happy 4th!

I was full of cold, and it was cold, but Lydia asked for a little picnic on the patio. We hauled out the card table that serves as the only table and chairs at the house on Whidbey. We drove down to the harbor that night and watched the fireworks. The sun came out to give the world a dusky glow before nightfall. We parked right on the water, and watched the fireworks through the windshield and side windows. Gabe laid in the grass a bit, bracing himself against the cold wind, to take in the full experience.
A pretty view taken this morning of the cut grass in the orchard with the neighboring farm beyond. Yeah! The sun is out! First warm day of summer, promising the start of a heat wave.
