Family Together

Our Colorado and Montana families came home to us for at least one full weekend in the middle of July.  Saturday we all gathered with Seth in The Dalles.  Our full day at Mom and Dad's was Monday with feasting and family photos planned.
Sunday night, eve of our all day reunion, we were down at the river.  The God of heaven and earth healed Silas from over 20 yellow jacket stings that looked like reddish-purple bites with their hot venom.  One was on his lower right eye lid.  There were seven raging stings just on one leg.  The pain was nearly unbearable.  Mud and baking soda packs and a homeopathic remedy under the tongue, but after entreating Caleb to pray for him, I watched the swelling disappear completely under the edges of mud and baking soda under the eye.  Yes, sure enough, the hard red swellings with bite centers under my palms of cold mud were gone too.  There were just red dots to remind us that the stings were real.  Silas was playing a serious game of badminton as if nothing had happened an hour later.  That morning, we had been reminded by visiting Pastor Dick that our God is so much bigger than even the biggest afflictions and fearsome circumstances!
A WARM lazy day of summer for our family reunion.

Best poses of the day!

Lots of lounging in a bit of shade.
We took photos in the late afternoon when Seth caught the right light.  We enjoyed the feasting and music on the patio in the evening.  It was a good day.
