Heaven Bound

My Gabriel turned 16 on a day that speaks of grace.  He has let his curls grow long, and is running X-Country with Dad this fall.  Everyone supports his bouncing head of hair, for spotting him on the race course up with one of the front packs.  What a delight to my heart to have a sixteen year old who dreams of running on the high hills of heaven and was longing for the ultimate birthday gift of Jesus coming to catch Him up.  He is consoled that the Lord is coming, as he has seen the promise too.  Habakkuk 2:3, ..., wait for it;
Because it will surely come.
In the meantime, the Lord of heaven and earth is filling the White Salmon behind Grandpa and Grammy's house full of big and small fish.  They are coming back over the seeming, unsurmountable falls.  He has been fly fishing and loving the catch.  He ran over to the river with fly rod on his birthday before dinner for about half an hour.  He came back exclaiming that over the week, he had caught 12 little trout and 3 beautiful, big rainbows.
