First Music Recital

Gabe and Lydia took a group music class once a week offered to home-schoolers. There were four students in their class from February to June. They learned tempo, forte and piano, the musical staff, are learning to read notes on the treble clef, gained an introduction to all the instrument families, and had hands on with percussion instruments, guitar, keyboards, violin, flute, clarinet, and recorders. They have been mastering their flutophones and had their first recital in June, playing songs such as BA Robot, HeeBeeGeeBee, Merrily We Rock Along, and singing Frere Jacques. Now they are playing more well-known pieces such as It's Raining, Old MacDonald, Ode to Joy, When the Saints Go Marching In, and Amazing Grace.
