We didn't realize how close Kalispell is to the west gate of Glacier National Park! We dropped down in to the lovely old west town on Flathead Lake. What a beautiful spot of country. We now know why so many we know have moved here!

I learned recently of childhood friends acquiring new ownership of Wheat Montana in downtown Kalispell, and I planned our trip accordingly to arrive at lunch time. The owners, Angie and two of her young adult children spied us being there and joined us for a visit over lunch! It was such a fun highlight to connect with friends from the past. Not only the owners, but another lunch party of mutual friends was there as well. Such a blast of the past in new beginnings!
