Baking Skills Gleaned From My Daughter

 I tried my hand at a fall birthday cake for Janelle.  Not my daughter's carrot cake.

Powdered coconut sugar and browned butter.

Coconut sugar bakes a bit dry.

Browned butter, cream cheese, coconut sugar frosting.

The cake was a bit too strong of caramelly, molasses flavors, and the crumb a bit dry, but the fellowship of family in celebration was perfectly sweet and satisfying.
