Saphy gave birth to pups on the 8th of October. I spent the night before with her laboring. She raised 11 puppies in the shed in the middle of the pasture to about six weeks. When they got too rambunctious and needed more space, we moved them to the barn. Saphy stayed with them until she couldn't take it anymore and became a climber. She then came for supervised visits twice a day, nursing them to 10 weeks.
